The most obvious and usually the first thing that comes to your head to visit is the Burj Khalifa. And all of that is for good reason; the Burj Khalifa makes a universal name for itself for being the world’s tallest building at height of 828 metres high. The sheer size of the building is best appreciated up close or inside and on a clear day you can truly experience it’s absolutely stunning infrastructure and scenery.
Within the same vicinity of the Burj Khalifa lies the Dubai Mall and to call it a shopping mall really doesn’t do justice for its huge size. With over 1200 shops, 150 restaurants and home to an indoor theme park, waterfall, aquarium, an ice rink and so much more you will never find yourself bored in this mega mall.
Another very well-known icon of Dubai that you need to visit is the Palm Jumeirah. It is a manmade island in the shape of a palm tree and it is one of the largest artificial islands in the world. It is truly amazing to witness and hosts a vast array of high-end hotels such as Waldorf Astoria, Fairmont, One&Only and most notably, the iconic Atlantis Hotel. They have a monorail running down the ‘trunk’ of the island, connecting the mainland to the island, therefore, visiting it couldn’t be easier!
Burj Al Arab
One of Dubai’s most iconic tourist landmarks, the Burj Al Arab lies right on the beach and is one of the most luxurious hotels in the world. Built on a triangular manmade island reclaimed from the sea, the monumental sail shaped hotel rises 321 metres above the sea. And although the vast majority may not be able to afford dining / staying in this luxury hotel, it can still be admired for its incredible location and infrastructure from Kite Beach.
With just a short 20 minute drive from downtown Dubai you can find yourself immersed in the Dubai desert. Here you can experience the incredible Arabian desert and do things like off-roading, quad biking and sandboarding as well as barbecues, henna or camel rides. The Dubai desert is a great day out if you’re a thrill seeker or go back later and enjoy the luxuries of a late night spa.

Travelling with kids? Dubai has become the real entertainment paradise, home to some of the best theme parks in the world such as Motiongate; Bollywood Park and Legoland Waterpark. As for the adults, they can relax on Riverland Boulevard which is home to restaurants and exciting entertainment programmes.
